The key ingredient in John Doe’s monolayer riding jeans is its proprietary XTM fabric—a blend of Cordura, Kevlar, and denim that will survive a 75mph torture test, achieving the best-in-class AAA CE safety rating.

Not only does the AAA rating indicate these jeans pass the highest available speed rating, it also guarantees certain performance metrics relating to seam-burst strength, and cut resistance.

The resulting material does it all—looks good, vents well in the summer, and thanks to some built-in mechanical stretch, is remarkably comfortable to wear, on and off the bike.

While the knee armor is on the smaller side, profile-wise, the brilliant “bullseye” positioning system lets the user target exactly where the knee armor needs to be. Record the position with the provided reference marks, and then removal and re-installation becomes a cinch.
